We have exciting news to share with you! Cookbook Specialists has continued our growth trajectory with the acquisition of Jumbo Jack’s, a printer of custom cookbooks, calendars and student planners.

We’re pleased to welcome Jumbo Jack’s manager with 25 years’ experience in the printing industry, Jeanne Christensen, to the Cookbook Specialists’ team of experts. Together, our teams bring you more than 110 years of cookbook production expertise.

And what a great time it is to be producing your custom cookbooks! According to the NPD Group, the sale of cookbooks rose 15% from January 2020 to September 2020 compared to 2019 — with bread-specific cookbooks rising 145% in sales.

People took comfort in cooking and baking during the pandemic. If your cookbooks sold out last year, you are not alone. We’re here to take your reorder and get you back in stock or produce your next cookbook from your quarantine-cooking creations!

When we look back on 2020 and all the sadness that came from this horrible pandemic, one shining light was witnessing families slow down and get back to the basics in life.

We saw people growing victory gardens, and children learning to cook and can with fresh produce from those gardens. Many of us found the joy and comfort of baking breads, cakes and cookies again.

Wasn’t it wonderful to sit down as a family, break that bread we created from scratch and share a meal together without having to rush anywhere? Let’s hope these traditions of our grandparents’ era continue to stick with the younger generations for years after the pandemic is over.
